The Merit Day celebration for CBSE Class X and XII toppers, held on June 4, 2025, was not just an event, but was a core memory for all the students, proud teachers and parents alike.
The event left an indelible mark on the students in the institution, leaving a spark of ambition in their hearts. The ceremony stood as a testament to the hard work, dedication, and brilliance of our students, as well as the tireless efforts of our teachers and staff who guided them throughout their academic journey.
The event commenced with a warm and heartfelt welcome speech by our respected Principal, Mr. Joseph C. Micheal, who set the tone for the day by acknowledging the achievements of the students and reminding everyone of the values of perseverance, sincerity, discipline and hardwork. His words were a blend of appreciation and encouragement, resonating deeply with the audience.
The lighting of the ceremonial lamp followed, symbolising the dispelling of ignorance and the ushering in of knowledge and wisdom. It was a solemn moment that added a traditional touch to the celebration and filled the hall with a sense of reverence.
We were honoured to have H. G. Dr. Geevarghese Mar Barnabas Metropolitan as the Guest of Honour, whose keynote address was both powerful and inspiring. He commended the efforts of the meritorious students and spoke passionately about the importance of education in shaping not just careers, but character. His motivating words left a lasting impression on everyone present.
The event continued with a felicitation speech by the Administrator, Rev. Fr. Gigi P. Abraham, who took the opportunity to appreciate the students, teachers, and parents for their collaborative efforts in achieving academic excellence. He also emphasised the need to stay grounded and focused as students move forward in their respective journeys.
Adding a melodious charm to the occasion, Ayona Ann Bilgy, a student of Grade V, mesmerised the audience with a solo song performance. The song, filled with hope and positivity, perfectly captured the spirit of the day and was met with enthusiastic applause.
The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Mr. Sobin Thomas Mathew, a member of the staff, who acknowledged every individual and team that made the day possible. Special thanks were extended to the organising committee and the guests who graced the occasion.
As the gathering rose in unity to sing the National Anthem, the hall echoed with patriotism and pride, bringing the celebration to a dignified close.
