A two-day Faculty Development Workshop titled “21st Century GURU – Leading Teens with Wisdom & Tech” was successfully held on 21st and 22nd May, 2025 in our school to empower school teachers in guiding Gen Z learners with emotional intelligence, creativity, and digital tools.
Led by Mr. Ashok P Das, Dr. Sujithran, and Mr. Sanu K Sugathan, the workshop equipped teachers with modern methodologies to lead with purpose and innovation.
The sessions focused on understanding teen behavior, screen addiction, peer influence, and the evolving role of teachers as mentors. Participants were divided into six groups to engage in hands on activities and reflective exercises. They explored tools like Canva, ChatGPT, and Pinterest to enhance classroom engagement.
The session focused more on how Coaching and Mentoring act as catalysts in the learning process to foster personal and professional growth, build confidence, enhance communication and empower students to reach their potential.
The second day focused on the practical implementation and challenges of integrating AI into the teaching-learning process. Special emphasis was placed on identifying students’ aptitudes and aligning their learning paths accordingly—highlighting the growing need for skill-based and personalized education.
Teachers gained practical strategies for improving classroom interaction, catering to exceptional learners, and using Multiple Intelligence tools for self and student evaluation. The workshop wrapped up with action planning and encouraging feedback.
The two-day workshop proved to be highly beneficial in equipping educators with the knowledge and skills required to incorporate AI tools into their teaching methodologies. Participants expressed a keen interest in further training and collaborative efforts to build AI-enhanced learning environments.
